Hevajra Thankga

The Hevajra Thangkas Collection is a collection of Tibetan Buddhist scroll paintings that depict the deity Hevajra and his associated mandalas, retinues, and rituals. These thangkas are revered as sacred objects and artistic masterpieces, deeply embedded in the Vajrayana Buddhist tradition, particularly within the Sakya school. The central thangkas features Hevajra in his primary form, often in embrace with his consort, Vajranairatmya. The collection also features the Eight Goddesses and other retinue deities associated with Hevajra, each representing specific qualities or stages of spiritual development. The collection also features portraits of Hevajra lineage masters, such as Virupa and Sachen Kunga Nyingpo, who serve as inspiration for practitioners. The thangkas also depict protective deities, such as Mahakala, who act as spiritual guardians, ensuring the integrity and success of the practitioner's path.
